It's a fully-fledged relational database - the fact that for every column you decide yourself what TYPE of data to put in your rows gives you the power to build any data management system you can think of - from CRM to task list movie review database to recipes, etc. What do you dislike about Airtable? What do you like best about Airtable? It's super easy to get started -- if you can use Excel / GSheets, it's a pretty easy transition. Automations and integrations (e.g. Zapier) make it very powerful. There's also an active community for support, creating scripts and plugins, which I have used a lot to copy and adapt code snippets (even though I have no coding background).
