Affinity Designer for everything Illustrator does at an affordable price tag

What do you like best? I instantly fell in love with this piece of software from Affinity. Started with the Trial version and immediately buying the full price software. I was really amazed at how easy I can illustrate and do vector drawings with this software. It really is a wonder to how easy vector drawings can be. Awesome community and support! They recently launched an online marketplace, hooray! What do you dislike? The least liked are the features that are not there yet. This ...

Affinity Designer

What do you like best? Any designing Workflow is the best part in affinity designer. And though the primary purpose is to design new layouts / logos etc, it supports both vector images as well as the pixel based image editing, This is really helpful in basic photo editing in same application as design. And the best part is the pricing model. Just one time payment and that is it, lifetime support. What do you dislike? As this is heavy weight application, it consumes significant amount of ...

Affinity Does Everything Photoshop Does...Just A Little Better! I LOVE THIS SOFTWARE!!!

What do you like best? Like any design software, it's a lot to take in if you are brand new and trying to teach yourself. But the interface was SO much less intimidating than photoshop. I felt comfortable exploring in Affinity. I didn't even know what a vector was nor how to work using layers when I embarked on the "YOU WILL LEARN THIS, DAMNNIT" journey of self teaching. I absolutely love love love Affinity. What do you dislike? I can't say there is anything that I really & truly dislike ...

An excellent alternative to illustrator

What do you like best? Unbeatable value for money, excellent online resources, slick and simple GUI What do you dislike? Lacking in some useful features which means that I sometimes have to switch to Affinity photo for some tasks Recommendations to others considering the product This is a fantastic low cost alternative to the Adobe packages, especially as an introductory product to those not working in design departments, but who may occasionally need to complete simple design-like ...

Great low cost alternative to Adobe software.

What do you like best? I love that I can do a lot of the things that I would need adobe software for at a much cheaper cost. What do you dislike? I don’t like that a few essential things are missing from the software. Also, it is not “truely” compatible with main file formats. Recommendations to others considering the product If you need a low cost full featured alternative to Adobe software, Affinity designer is a great option. But I’d wait if you are looking to switch your entire ...

Love Affinity Designer

What do you like best? One time cost instead of continued payments. I also had no prior design experience, and I am able to use it sufficiently for my needs. What do you dislike? I wish there were better tutorials for it. There should be more basic, simple, and short tutorials for basic use. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Anytime I need to design a card or banner for email, website use, or social media, I use Affinity Designer.

A strong competitor in a tough field

What do you like best? Affinity Designer is here to stay, as long as its development team keep the good work they are doing. The user interface and shortcuts, and its overall usability has been thought for Adobe Illustrator users so there is low resistance to change and a quick learning curve, and all that without compromising quality in the software. Affinity Designer can give you up to 90 - 95% on the features Adobe Illustrator does, but will cost you a fraction of Adobe´s software. ...

Great Design Software without breaking the bank

What do you like best? Besides not having to pay a monthly subscription, I like powerful zoom features and responsiveness of the app when working on projects as they get larger. Also, I like the ability to switch between full view and outline view quickly. What do you dislike? It lacks some pre-sets for strokes and other things out of the box. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I don't often design for non-web related projects and ...
