Aftereffects like photoshop is an industry standard for Motion graphics and compositing its great to learn on and if used with enough skill can create hollywood level visual fx. as with all Adobe products it plays very well with the rest of the adobe suite including Premiere Pro & Photoshop.

What do you like best about Adobe After Effects? AE gives me the most flexibility in a quick to use interface. Especially being able to seamlessly integrate my motion graphics into premiere makes it that much better. Even something as simple creating more dynamic lower thirds has become a staple in my video production.

PROS: After Effects offers seamless integration with Adobe. It third party system is rapid growing with animated typefaces, plugins, and pre-created templates. This serves good use for those who want to quickly turn projects. Its 2.5D engine is enough to cater just anything from special effects to video intros.

What do you like best about Adobe After Effects? Here are some of the things I like about Adobe After Effects; wide range of motion effects, many options on the essentials panel, easy integration with Illustrator and Photoshop files, accessible CC libraries, ability to collaborate, very professional toolset, and the timeline and node-based setup is fairly intuitive. I consider myself an intermediate user of After Effects, so I may not have as comprehensive a view as someone who uses it daily.
