No longer functional and can't be trusted to restore.

This used to be my go-to software for Backing up and Restoring, especially as I am a known Windows 'tweaker'. Unfortunately, this software can no longer be trusted to restore a Windows 10 system back to a formatted SSD. Whilst in the WinPE environment, everything looks as though it's going fine. Once completed and you try and boot into Windows, the PC attempts to 'repair' itself and requires a fresh install from its own recovery partition. Three times I've tried to restore from a backup and ...

Bloated product that crashes a lot.

Bloated product that crashes a lot. It has a horrible interface. It is slow, it will initiate backup at any time you are in the product. It is hard to stop. It literally has about 10 items constantly running in the background. The worst.

OS upgrades and Acronis Backup Support!

Had one of those problems upgrading an OS has and after multiple issues being un resolved, reached to to Acronis Support and, while we navigated the trials of going from Win 7 to Win 10 and using backups my support professional, Rahul, was there every moment ewith expertise, knowledge and, just hand holding. Can't tell you how frightening it is finding that your lifetime of records may not recover and Rahul made sure that was not an issue! thank you!

Acronis True Image never worked

Acronis True Image was recommended by Western Digital as a replacement for WD Backup and Discovery software. It took a number of tries to install it in a new(-ish) running W10. Didn't work (froze on the create a back up page; then said it needed a WD drive and couldn't mine!) then gave a number of error messages as I tried to uninstall it finally. Yes, I tried switching it off and on again. The support page simply recommended a number of Microsoft tools to use, which did not reveal anything ...

Don’t waste your time and money on this company…

My complain is more on there business site. I had a perpetual lic, then went subscription and back to perpetual as I don’t use it that often to make sense for a subscription. As I purchased my 2019 version end of 2019 I didn’t feel the need to upgrade as there was no huge changes. Now I went online and tried to upgrade to 2021 and can’t. After contacting support I was told you can not upgrade the perpetual software anymore. So they only sell subscription . This is shady as it’s best. Will ...

Recovery extremely complicated. Tech is East Indian

Recovery is extremely complicated. Tech help is very polite but with a heavily accented East Indian accent. Money wasted. Required me to return to the vendor of my new computer and ask them to provide a record of all the drivers on my old computer -- which by now, is completely reformatted. NOT a simple task, right?

Acronis "perpetual license" product isn't dependable and shouldn't be bought.…

Acronis "perpetual license" product worked as Acronis promised at first; both in creating images and recovery of images.Later recovery efforts failed for every 1 of all of the series of many full images previously created. Making the software useless when needed.Support expired after 1 year; such that problems within the software itself CAN'T be resolved. Once again, this makes software useless. Depending on this software created a greater than usual loss/cost since other preparation is not ...

Terrible support

True image (now called cyber protect but only half of the supporting information hasn't been updated to the new name so you cant tell if it relates to the old system or the new) failed to clone disk. Was on hold to USA customer support number for 15 mins before being told nobody could talk to me. Online "support" took 30 mins to tell me literally nothing. Managed to run clonedisk but new disk wont boot, neither would the existing. Had to restore original disk and am back to where I was 2 ...

Avoid Acronis: Dysfunctional software, dysfunctional support, dysfunctional company

I installed Acronis True Image 2020 on a new build desktop. About 3 months later when the b/u drive was full the programme would not delete, or allow me to delete, old backups. Acronis customer support informed me that the software sold to me 3 months previously was now OBSOLETE and they would only resolve the problem if I paid to upgrade! Three months from purchase to obsolescence and then pay them again to fix their dysfunctional software must be a new industry benchmark -well done ...
